FAQ'S

This page has the answers to a number of frequently asked questions about TEXX and our services - answers to questions that you also might like to browse through. It is interesting and useful information packaged in question and answer form.
Does TEXX work with Native Speakers?
Yes. We work with an extensive European network of translators who work in their native language. Moreover, we work with translators who live in their native countries or who live here but go home regularly so that they keep up to date with the latest developments in their own language.

How do we work out the price of a translation?
The words in the translated text are counted by the word processing program (including proper names, but excluding numbers and punctuation marks), and that total forms the basis for the invoice.

On average, how long does a translator take to translate a text?
Translators do about 250-300 words per hour, depending on how difficult the text is. With highly specialised texts (for example, extremely technical or scientific texts), the rate might be only about 200 words an hour.

What happens if the client is not (entirely) satisfied with the translation he has been given?
According to the General Conditions of Sale of TEXX International Communications b.v., complaints must be sent to us in writing within 14 days of receipt of the translation. In practice, however, we will do everything possible to ensure that the translation is up to the required standard - of course! In some cases, the assistance of the client might be required, particularly with technical translations. It would help us if we are provided with the current terminology or jargon specific to your line of business. Once we have that information to hand, then we can make sure that it is used consistently in all translations.

For what sorts of clients does TEXX work?
TEXX works for a wide variety of clients including a large number of advertising and PR agencies, marketing-communications agencies, firms working in the field of tourism and leisure, and industrial companies.
