TEXX Travel Translation & Copywriting Services was founded in 1988. This company focussed specifically on the translation needs of the hospitality and tourism industries.
In 1995, demands for our services meant that we had to extend them to include financial, legal, telecoms, etc. Consequently, the legal format of the company changed, making it what in Holland is called a "Besloten Vennootschap" (B.V.), equivalent to a Limited Liability Company (Ltd./LLC). The name was also changed to reflect the much wider scope of services and customers - hence, TEXX International Communications B.V.
Today, it undertakes a large number of translation and copywriting projects every year for many internationally-oriented companies and organisations in the areas of legal, financial-economic, the hospitality industry, tourism & recreation, ICT and the telecom sector as well as technical/industrial companies.
Ronald Oeges - MD
The founder and owner of TEXX, grew up abroad in countries including Spain, Portugal, Peru and Venezuela. He was educated at French, Spanish and British Schools and it was there that his passion for languages began. After working in the incoming tourism business for 5 years at the beginning of his career (for Holland International among others), he then spent 12 years in marketing for the international hotel industry (including periods as the assistant marketing manager at the Schiphol Hilton and later sales & marketing manager at the Holiday Inn Leiden). It was then that he started his own translation agency. Ronald has a flair for marketing and sales and focuses mainly on account management. And learning new languages. As he has a great passion for Italy, the latest language is Italian!
Marianne Heemskerk-Oeges - office manager
Marianne also spent the first part of her life abroad in the same countries as her brother Ronald, and she shares his passion for languages. She is also a great organiser, which has led her to become the office manager at TEXX, responsible for all administrative processes.
TEXX is a Dutch-based translation agency that was founded in 1988, The translator team of TEXX is composed of free-lance translators living and working in different European countries, All translators working with us have followed university studies in translation and or conference interpreting, and have acquired a university degree. We can thus guarantee an exceptionally high quality of translation.
