In 1988, a translation agency under the name TEXX Travel Translation & Copywriting Services was set up, specialising in the translation needs of the tourism sector. As its range of services expanded, the agency changed its name to the present one in 1995, but the Tourism, Recreation and Hotel sector still remains one of TEXX's prime specialisms. Affinity with the tourism sector The founder and proprietor/manager of TEXX, Ronald Oeges, has had years of experience in the tourism sector. After working for 5 years for Incoming Tourism specialists, including Holland International, he then worked for 12 years in the international hotel marketing sector, and was Marketing Manager for the Hilton and Holiday Inn Hotels in the Netherlands before starting up his own translation agency.
